Chris Sutton doesn't rate Tottenham's title chances

TOTTENHAM are ‘miles off’ challenging for the Premier League title. That is the brutal verdict of BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton, who saw 3mbet Tottenham slip up to a 1-0 defeat against Manchester City at Wembley on Monday. Riyad Mahrez hit the winner after converting Raheem Sterling’s cut-back after just six minutes to put City back on top of the pile once again. Spurs created a host of decent chances, with Erik Lamela guilty of spurning a very presentable opportunity when he skied his shot over with the goal 3mbet at his mercy. While the defeat leaves Mauricio Pochettino’s men five points off the pace, Sutton is convinced Spurs don’t have what it takes to mount a serious title challenge.
“This isn't a confident Tottenham side. It is just not clicking,” Sutton said.
“If Spurs go out of the League Cup in midweek with a limp against West Ham, there will be more questions asked.
“Do this team look like pushing for 3mbet the title? They look miles off.”
Although Liverpool are firmly in the mix for the title, Sutton reckons City - the defending champions - will take some stopping.
