Game crash on startup [BSOD] ati3duag x1950xtx

Postby Mystermask » Wed Nov 23, 2011 5:06 pm

Hellow fellas, sorry in advance for my poor english.

This is my problem : I downloaded the game by torrent and installed it but everytime i try to launch this game, he loading and immediately after that i get a blue screen of death with the mention of the file "ati3duag.dll"

This is my spec : CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Alimentation block : 650 watts 80+
Ram : Dominator GT 7-7-7-20 DDR3 4 gb
Graphic Card : a old X1950XTX sapphire 1024mb
OS : Windows xp pro 32 bits.

This is what i already try'd : I desinstalled(using cc cleaner everytime) downloaded some graphic drivers official and non official like the omegadriver version 3.8.421. I use already the lastet driver and nathing seem to help me.
I also checked all my temperature, they are all correct. (cpu 37° hdd velociraptor 40° graphic card 60° all in idle)

Can i please have some help from here ?

I would like to precise that this is the only game/program to give my a blue screen, ask the question you want, thanks in advance.

This is interesting and I've never run across this before but I am here to help. I did some research into this problem and found that many people have an issue with "ati3duag.dll" seemingly causing a BSOD.

This guy fixed it and I recommend reading through his epic post about how he narrowed it down and fixed it here http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/11589-ati-bsod-fixed-finally-it-will-help-all-of-you-ati3duag-dll-squeal-of-death-et.html. In the end of the day, it looks like you may just have to update Windows to fix this issue.

I hope this helps you out and let me know if you still have an issue after trying this fix :)

I suspect hardware failure of some sort. The only other options are kernel bugs or driver bugs. Neither of those have a chance of being fixed at this point. NR may be the only thing performing the exact sequence of actions that triggers it, but a BSOD can only happen when the kernel itself crashes.

Can you give us BSoD failure description code? that 0xXXXXXXXX (where XXXXXXXX is, there's your failure description code). It would help alot.

You probably have bad RAM, or possibly a faulty driver.
