Roy Hodgson agent sbobet has his say on the battle for survival and how many points may be needed

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson says he is not setting his side a points target for survival in the Premier League this season.

But he says he would take just one more point – if that was enough to secure the Eagles’ place in the top flight.

Palace currently sit 17th in the table on 30 points, just two points above the bottom three, which consists of Southampton, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion at present.

And Hodgson says he does not have a particular points target in mind for how many will be required for survival.

“I don't care how many points we get, as long as we get one point more than the team in third bottom in the league, that will be fine,” he said.

“If 31 will do that, I will take 31.”

Palace could surpass that points tally with a win at Bournemouth this afternoon, and Hodgson insists that his focus is solely on that game and not how many points will be necessary for teams to stay in the Premier League.

“Who knows,” he said.

“So many things can happen and I don't know how you can compute these sort of things.

“The only truthful answer is we need to play very well in six games.

“We have to accept we will have injury problems and we maybe won't always have the team we would like to have, but I have to try and accept that too, but what you can't change, agent sbobet you just get on with it.

“Who we play against, what team they put out, we can't change that. What other teams around us do, we can't change; we can only change the 96 minutes we play ourselves.”

And Hodgson says he is wary of the threat posed by the Cherries this afternoon, with Bournemouth having a good recent record of turning games around, and scoring late goals.

Indeed, he says his players should also be aware of that, and that the Eagles will be doing their best to become the latest victims of a late show from Bournemouth.

"Certainly you would make the players aware of that, but you would like to think if you are a Premier League player following Premier League football week after week, they don't need to be made aware of it,” he said.

“I am aware of it, and I am sure the players are too, and I am sure we will be very attentive to make sure it doesn't happen against us.

"We had a little spell ourselves where we were scoring a lot of late goals and rescuing points or games and it can go in periods like that, I don't read as much into it.

“As far as I am concerned, you defend well until the referee blows the whistle and any mistakes you make, or lack of concentration or deviation from the way you try to play, that can cost you in the first minute or the last minute.

“The bottom line is avoid any deviations, avoid lacks of concentration and avoid making mistakes and make certain if you have a positive result, you hang onto it.” agent sbobet

I do not care how much we get as long as we score more than the third league in the league.
